Training Portal

On Command offers FREE eLearning courses to our hotel partners through our Training Portal. The Training Portal can be accessed at http://learning.oncommand.com.

On Command content

The Training Portal offers timely and consistent training related to the On Command system. All eLearning courses use text, multimedia, and interactive testing and evaluation to deliver training.

System availability

The Training Portal’s eLearning courses are available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.

Easy registration

Students self register using only their hotel handle, limiting hotel management and OCV involvement in managing the process.

Hotel Access

Designated hotels can access the training portal.

Easy curriculum assignment

Once registered, students are automatically assigned a curriculum of eLearning courses appropriate for their job title – thus eliminating any need to search for the right courses.

Easy course access

Each homepage displays appropriate curriculum along with intuitive buttons for launching and navigating courses.

Bookmarking

Each eLearning course ‘bookmarks’ the last point of completion if exiting the course prior to completion. Later, when returning to the eLearning course, you can return to the last point of completion in the course.

Course Certificates

Students can print out certificates of completion for each course completed.

Library

Students can access an online library containing useful job aids and documents.

Search Index

The Training Portal includes a search index of the information provided in each eLearning course, offering a quick and easy way to find information without having to revisit the entire course.

System tutorial

A Training Portal tutorial is provided on the login page. This tutorial outlines basic processes like course launching and gradebook functionality, to help familiarize users with the system.

Management

Management has the ability to view information related to student training completion and performance, so that they are better able to hold their staff accountable.

Forgot Password button

The system includes a ‘forgot password’ option on the login page, offering users a means of self service.
